Northwest Biotherapeutics is a biotechnology company focused on developing cancer vaccines designed to treat a broad range of solid tumor cancers more effectively than current treatments, without the side effects of chemotherapy drugs. NW Biotherapeutics' proprietary manufacturing technology also enables them to produce its personalized vaccine in an efficient, cost-effective manner.
Northwest Biotherapeutics approached Pyxl to create all multimedia content for the upcoming 2014 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) conference. With only a month of lead-time, designers, videographers and account managers put together a time-efficient strategy to deliver on short notice.
Pyxl created 3 animations describing the science behind Northwest Biotherapeutics' cancer treatment trials, DCVax-L and DCVax-Direct, which have received successful outcomes both in reception and laboratory results. Each animation was 2-3 minutes in length and designed to be looped on multiple 60-inch display screens at the conference. Animations included educational but engaging graphics to pull in attendees and expose them to the technology and process.
Pyxl also created a six-minute HD video detailing the manufacturing process with slide style animation for viewing on 20-foot centerpiece displays. This video took an in-depth look at the treatment manufacturing process inside of a biotech laboratory. The video needed to be shot in a clean laboratory environment, so Pyxl's video production team suited up, got all the vaccines needed and delivered on time.
